NOW HIRING! Mechanic at Food Manufacturing Plant! Full Time

Located in Vernon and Bell we are looking for a Mechanic at our Food Manufacturing Plant. The Mechanic is responsible for the care and maintenance of machines and production assets in a safe, sanitary and efficient condition.

Pay Rate: $20 – $23

Primary Responsibilities:
• Inspects equipment, recognizes potential problems and independently takes appropriate corrective action to prevent component failures or equipment down time
• Conducts daily equipment audits, maintains equipment inventory, maintains daily records of operations and reports deficiencies to supervisor
• Executes proper set-up, adjustment, and maintenance of production, processing and seasonal support equipment
• Participates in construction and maintenance projects
• Ensures all paperwork is filled out in a clear, legible and accurate format, and completed with required information
• Responsible for Set up
• Responsible for Change over
• Responsible for Keeping Production Running

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Minimum of four years related, applicable experience with machine maintenance and repair
• Effectively handle lifting of various objects weighing up to 60 pounds
• Basic computer skills and ability to work independently when necessary
•  Effective verbal and written communication skills
•  Experience with spiral freezers and with Form, Fill, Seal Machines
•  Frozen food experience preferred
•  Thorough knowledge of standard maintenance practices, methods, tools, knowledge of occupational hazards and possesses experience with OSHA safety training
•  Knowledge and experience with pneumatics, electrical, mechanical and boiler, USDA, refrigeration, spiral freezers, and heat exchangers
