Essential Job Functions: 1. Receiving Delivery orders from customers or Brokers 2. Creating Shipments and freight bills 3. Checking availability with the terminals or steam ship lines 4. Sending available work 5. Answering phone calls from customers 6. Answering e-mails in a timely manner 7. Entering drayage rates into the system 8. Make sure there are notes in the system in case ever any questions in regards to the container Job Description: The Price Transfer Customer Service Representative [Dispatch] is responsible for Data Entry of delivery orders, answering phones, answering e-mails, checking availability with the terminals and the steamship lines, inputting notes in the system, entering rates, sending the freight bills to our dispatchers, making sure customers are notified of any problems and our dispatchers of any changes in a timely manner Additional Job Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Work Overtime Occasionally during the workweek as needed, and on the weekend 2. Abide by the Company’s No – Cell phone Policy, and all other handbook policies.
Hours and Shift
Qualifications: 1. High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) 2. Preferably 1-2 years’ experience; some terminal experience and how they operate. 3. Self-motivated 4. Good verbal and written communication skills 5. Ability to work in fast paced environment. 6. Experience working in customer service 7. Detail Oriented and strong organizational skills 8. Computer literate 9. Terminal Experience (Must Be Familiar with Terminals and Ocean Carriers) 10. Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Physical Requirements: 1. Incumbents require enough mobility to perform moderate or light lifting between 5-20 lbs. 2. Walk, stand or sit for prolonged periods of time 3. Operate office equipment including use of a computer keyboard. Ability to verbally communicate to exchange information; and operate office equipment.
